What is KBank UnionPay Credit Card ?

KBank UnionPay Credit Card is a chip-embedded credit card that meets international standards. It can be used to pay for goods and services at merchants with the UnionPay logo nationwide and worldwide. You can also make cash advance from K-ATMs and ATMs with the UnionPay logo throughout Thailand.

What are the key benefits of the KBank UnionPay Credit Card ?

You can make payments using your KBank UnionPay Credit Card in China, Hong Kong, and Macau. (Merchants in China and its Special Administrative Regions widely accept UnionPay cards.) The card can be used in over 140 countries worldwide.

What are the privileges offered by the KBank UnionPay Credit Card ?

The main privileges of the KBank UnionPay Credit Card are similar to those of Classic, Gold, and Platinum KBank Credit Cards, with additional privileges as follows:

  • Earn x2 points for all spending at merchants in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macau Special Administrative Region from today until December 31, 2023. Every 25 Baht spent earns 2 points; limited to 5,000 points/cardholder/billing cycle.
  • Chinese interpreter service (Travel Assistance): KBank provides translation service for communication in Chinese. Cardholders can call for assistance via the K-Contact Center, tel. 02-8888888
Do I have to pay an application fee or an annual fee in using the KBank UnionPay Credit Card ?

No application fee or first-year annual fee is charged. The annual fee shall be waived automatically in subsequent years for cardholders who make at least 12 spending transactions/year. The fee is at the same rate as that of Classic, Gold, and Platinum KBank Credit Cards.

Can I apply for a supplementary card ?

Yes, you can apply for a maximum of five supplementary cards.

If I use the KBank UnionPay Credit Card abroad, does the currency conversion fee apply ?

KBank charges for the currency conversion fee at a rate not exceeding 2.5 percent of the spending amount.

How can I check exchange rates for currency conversion calculation ?

Steps to check in K Point KLUB

  • Redeem K Points for e-coupon in K+ market via K PLUS to use K Point KLUB.
  • 1,500 K Points can be redeemed for one e-coupon /person.
  • In cases that you have insufficient K Points but have K PLUS, you may ask your companions who has sufficient K Points to redeem them for an e-coupon and choose “Send Gift” via K+ market so that you can use K Point KLUB.
  • After K Points have been redeemed, an e-coupon will be automatically sent to “My Coupons” in K+ market. Press “Redeem Coupon” to receive a QR code for entry to K Point KLUB. QR code is valid for two hours after it is redeemed.
  • Scan the QR code at the entrance in order to use K Point KLUB. Get snack and/or drink from a vending machine and coffee machine. Limited to two items per person (one snack and one drink, or two snacks/two drinks)
  • Up to two hours per QR code. Customers will be alerted via K PLUS around 15 minutes before the service hours end.

Conditions for use of services

  • Use of services by accompanying guests
    • Two accompanying children less than 110 cm. in height are allowed access free of charge (In case of free access, no snack or drink is offered. To get snack and/or drink, K Points must be redeemed for an e-coupon in the same way as general customers.)
    • Accompanying children more than 110 cm. in height and/or the elderly, are required to redeem 1,500 K Points for an e-coupon in K+ market; one coupon for one person.
  • E-coupon is valid for one year after K Point redemption.
  • KBank reserves the right to change or cancel e-coupon for using K Point KLUB after K Points have been redeemed via K+ market; conditions are determined by KBank.

  • For any spending of more than 1,500 Baht / transaction, cardholders may use their card via chip or magnetic stripe readers, and sign their name on the sales slips.

  • Reward points are exclusively for cardholders spending via KBank UnionPay Credit Card from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
  • Earn x2 points when spending with your KBank UnionPay Credit Card at merchants in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macau Special Administrative Region.
  • KBank will calculate accumulated reward points only for spending made with the same card number and under the same name.
  • Every 25 Baht spent earns 2 points; limited to 5,000 points/cardholder/billing cycle. Bonus points will be shown in the statement within two billing cycles, or within 60 days of the billing cycle where cardholders have fully complied with the terms and conditions of the promotion.
  • Bonus points will be awarded only for spending transactions paid in full.
  • From 1 April 2020 onwards, earn 1 point for every 25 Baht spent in the countries in European Economic Area (EEA): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland (including Åland Island), France (including French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Saint-Barthélemy, and Mayotte) Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Azorech and Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Sweden), the United Kingdom (including Gibraltar), Liechtenstein and Iceland (including Svalbard and Jan Mayen).
  • An exception is made for giving accumulated K Points when spending via any type of KBank Credit Card at merchants registered in the People’s Republic of China (excluding Special Administrative Regions such as Hong Kong and Macau), from November 1, 2021.
